RESERVATIONS CLOSED FOR THE LUNCH-CRUISE

 

Sunday, August 30th  Let's have lunch together and then cruise on the 73' "Huron Lady II" out of Port Huron!

We will begin the day by attending a service at any Kensington Campus and then carpooling from 3 locations! (Specific carpooling information is listed below)  Rain or Shine!

We will all meet for lunch at the Thumb Coast Brewing Restaurant, 330 Quay St. on the Black River in Port Huron at 12:45 pm.  Then we will board the 73' Huron Lady II at 2:40 pm and leave the dock at 3 pm for an hour and a half informative narrated sightseeing cruise on the St. Clair River and into Lake Huron.

Since we have a group of 16 or more, the cost of the cruise will be lowered for us to $16 per person. Normally the cost is $20 per person with $18 (for 62+) The money will be collected at the restaurant. (cash only)  Also, the cost of lunch is on your own.

NEW ADDITION FOR SUNDAY LATER IN THE DAY!

To continue our fun on Sunday, whoever is interested, is invited to join us for a Metro Beach concert enjoying the awesome sounds of "Big Will and the 360 Degree Band" from 6:30-9:30 pm.  We'll be dancing and meeting up with some others from Kensington.

Bring a chair or a blanket and your own beverage.

Lorri, your concert host, will be there from 5 pm on, to save some spots for us.  Look for tables and a Kensington sign. She will also have some munchies and dips for you!  If you'd like more to eat, there is a nearby snack bar!

Note:  The concert does not have to be a part of your day if you do not want to go to Metro.

And, if you carpool to Port Huron, we will get you back to your cars after the cruise, then you can decide if you want to go to Metro or not.

4. If carpooling, would you be willing to drive?  (riders are asked to contribute some for gas) 

5. Or would you like to meet us there?

6. Will you be going to Metro Park for a concert from 6:30-9:30?

 

Carpooling Details:

 

We will be carpooling from three locations:

1. Orion Campus Area -Culver's Restaurant in the Orion Township (one mile north of the Palace)

    493 Interpark Drive - NE corner of Lapeer and Dutton Rds.

    a. Meet at 11:15 am and we will leave at 11:30 am sharp 

    b. Park in the SE corner of the unpaved south parking lot

    c. Look for the Encore Sign

 

2. Troy Campus - 1825 E Square Lake Road in Troy

    a. Meet in the northwest corner of the west parking lot

    b. Meet at 11:30 am, and we will leave at 11:45 am sharp

    c. Look for the Encore Sign

 

3. Walmart - M-59 and I-94  45400 Marketplace, Chesterfield

    a. Meet in the south-west corner of the Walmart parking lot

    b. Meet at 11:45 and we will leave at Noon sharp

    c. Look for the Encore sign

 

All riders are encouraged to make a gas donation for the driver
