You are invited to join us for a summer afternoon at the beach!

If you prefer to passively catch some rays and people watch, walk along the shore, or actively get in or on the water, this is the place to be the last Sunday of August.

1. Meet at 1:30 pm outside the Chat Room at Kensington's Clinton Twp Campus, 25,000 Hall Rd.  following the 12:15 pm service. 

2. If you want to carpool or pick up lunch first, meet at 2 pm in the in the Kroger Shopping Center at 16 mile and Crocker Blvd. near the Smoothie Cafe and Subway. 

3. Come to the park starting at 2:30 pm where we will be setting up in the grass area between the Activity Center and Marina near Adventure Golf and Pool/Beach.

4. Later, the live band "Sinjon Smith" will perform from 6:30-9 pm in the covered Activity Center! If you are coming just for the concert, please arrive by 6:15 pm so that we can connect before the music starts. 

 Cost: $10 per vehicle or a Metropark Motor Vehicle Entry Pass. Try Carpooling! The evening concert is FREE!

At the park: Look for a red plaid picnic blanket and table under a small grey sunshelter in the grass between the Activity Center and Marina near Adventure Golf and the Pool.

Bring: Your own picnic lunch (whether you make it, share it, or buy it), non-alcoholic drinks, a chair, a small table or blanket, (as picnic tables are on a first come basis) swimwear, towel, and sunscreen.   Check the park website (Lake St. Clair MetroPark) for details on what not to bring.

Rain concerns - We will select a place ot eat inside and spend time until weather clears. The band is covered so evening concerts continue unless there is a severe storm.
